US IN MY MIND

Us In My Mind is a trailer for a performance utilizing interactive stage design. This piece visualizes memory connotations that live within our personal space, exploring images and sounds that different areas and objects hold. Video projections and sound collages are pulled into vision as I move throughout the space. 

As an introduction for a musical performance, this piece prototypes how to introduce themes, topics, soundscapes, and imagery that will be fleshed out in the songs to follow. In this, I am interested in creating a visual world to accompany the acoustic storytelling of a concert. 

This piece uses video tracking with a camera and Max/MSP. The performance space is divided into sections, each of which is correlated to a different video.  As an experiment, this work lives at the beginning of my journey into musical performance visualization.
