Deep listening anarchival workshop

Bella Ciaramitaro, Drishya Subramaniam

This workshop approaches anarchiving as a way of working with and against the idea of spatial archive. Instead of documenting a site through fixed, technical methods, we explore softer, more intuitive ways of noticing, recording, and holding what often slips through. Gestures, atmospheres, fragments, and feelings. Using techniques like deep listening, sound recording, and asemic writing, we engage with the site as something lived and felt rather than something to be neatly captured. Exploring the intersection of listening practices and feminist anarchiving, this workshop invites you to slow down, to listen closely, and to let alternative forms of recording emerge, ones that don’t aim to fix a place, but to move with it, as a feed-forward mechanism.
